Many people travel to Mexico for Winter Vacations, Spring Break, and Honeymoons. Others look for time share condos, or look for a place to eventually retire. Mexico offers some amazing places to vacation, especially for Americans and Canadians. This list is the top 7 tourist destinations in no particular order. My personal favorite is Mazatlan, but I used to live there so I'm partially biased.
1 Cabo San Lucas
The jewel of the Baja Peninsula, Cabo San Lucas has something for everyone, from the luxury traveler and the budget traveler. Cabo San Lucas is the Queen of Hospitality for all of Baja.
2 Puerto Vallarta
Take a trip down memory lane with this historic town, there is so much to do and so many dreams to behold. Puerto Vallarta offers almost to many options for the luxury traveler.
3 Cancun
Cancun is a coastal city in Mexico's easternmost state, Quintana Roo, the region is sometimes known as the Mexican Caribbean. It is a massive hot bed of youthful tourism with a lovely nightscene.
4 Acapulco
Acapulco is a city, and major sea port in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico roughly 200 miles south of Mexico City.
5 Mazatlan
Mazatlan, also known as the Pearl of the Sea is one of Mexico's most popular tourist destinations. It sits on the Gulf of Mexico. It has a population of 450k it is the second-largest city in the state after Culiacan and Mexico's largest commercial port.
6 Guadalajara
Guadalajara is the capital city of the Mexican state of Jalisco. It is the second most densely populated city in Mexico, and home to many American Expatriates.
7 Mexico City
Mexico City is the country's most populated city, commonly called "Mexico" by Mexicans it is the cultural center of Mexico with a focus both on business, government, but also entertainment. Imagine New York, and Los Angeles rolled into one.
