University of Florida Online

The University of Florida, a public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university was founded in 1853 when East Florida Seminary took over the Kingsbury Academy in Ocala. In 1860, it consolidated with the state's Florida Agricultural College and in 1905, the college became a university and moved to Gainesville. The University of Florida is one of the largest universities in the country. The university operates 16 colleges and more than 100 undergraduate programs and 200 graduate level programs in the fields of dentistry, law, medicine, pharmacy and veterinary medicine are offered through its 2,000 acre campus. Distance Learning at University of Florida offers students the opportunity to complete their Master's degrees, Specialist degrees, Doctorate degrees and Bachelor's degrees completely online, at their own pace and schedule classes to suit their personal and professional lifestyles. There are five online Bachelor of Science programs, four online Doctorate programs, an online Specialist in Education degree, and at least 10 online Masters programs available through Distance Learning. In addition, online college certificates, and online professional certificates are also offered through this branch of learning.

Online tuition fees range from $5,020.00 for undergraduate programs, to $10,050 for graduate level programs. Fees indicated may or may not include cost of books, laboratory fees and other incidental expenses. Financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships are available to eligible students. In order to enroll in a University of Florida online course, students must first be admitted as a regular student of the University. Information on admission requirements and procedures can be requested from the University of Florida's Admissions Office.
