The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is a state-funded public university located in Chicago, Illinois.

It is the largest university in the Chicago area and is a member of the University of Illinois system. The University is accredited by the North Central Association of College and Schools and offers 74 bachelors programs, 77 masters programs, 60 doctoral programs and 30 certificate programs. Although most of these programs need to be completed on campus, a growing number of degree programs and courses can now be completed online via UIC Online.

UIC online offers out of state students the opportunity to earn their University of Illinois at Chicago degrees. UIC Online delivers online programs and courseworks in the fields of Applied Health Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Urban Planning and Public Affairs. In addition, UIC Online also offers online continuing education courses to those who wish to gain additional education and specialization but not necessarily earn a degree.

Tuition fees for 2010 – 2011 are $725.00 per credit hour for online graduate degree programs and $469.00 per credit hour for online undergraduate programs. Financial aid in the form of federal grants, loans, scholarships are available and can be utilized by eligible students.
