The University of Scranton is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. This accreditation covers both the university’s faculty and curriculum. Different rankings, reviews, and recognitions are given to the univesity which include Scranton’s Business school being awarded among the “Best Business Schools”, the MBA program being part of the “Student Opinion Honors for Business Schools”, and the university as a whole being part of the “America’s Best Colleges”, ranked 10 in the top master’s universities, and given the label of “Great Schools at a Great Price.”
The university’s online program caters to enhanced online classes with not more than 20 students that provide an easy access to one’s coursework, and at the same gives one the opportunity to develop a strong network with classmates and collaborate with them through online discussions and meetings. The online program is known for the convenience in a sense that one is able to study, do assignments on when they want to and still give the same credentials given to students who attend campus programs. Online degrees and online courses include the Kania School of Management with programs in Master of Business Administration in General, Enterprise Resource Planning Specialization, Healthcare Management Specialization, Operations Management Specialization, Certificate in Enterprise Resource Planning, and Master’s in Human Resources offered by the Panuska College of Professional Studies.
Admissions Requirements include a completed application for admission, application fee of $50, evidence of degree taken from a regionally accredited college or university, professional resume, three letters of recommendation, and an essay about depicting a “hypothetical business scenario”. Tuition varies in every program which primarily depend on the number of courses that one would want to take. On the other hand, financial aid is offered in the university such as loan programs and scholarships opportunities.
