Utica College (UC) is a regionally accredited, independent, private learning university located in the heart of Central New York. Established by Syracuse University as a four-year institution in 1946, UC became a legally and financially independent university in 1995 even as it continues to offer the Syracuse University degree to undergraduates via a unique arrangement with Syracuse. Starting in the 2011 calendar year, however, UC will begin offering UC baccalaureate degrees to all entering students in addition to the UC graduate degrees the college has been offering graduate students since 1999.
Today, UC is a comprehensive institution that offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, UC offers 37 undergraduate degrees in over 60 areas of study and 23 graduate programs in such areas as business administration; criminal justice administration; cybersecurity – intelligence and forensics; economic crime management; education; health care administration; liberal studies; occupational therapy; and physical therapy.
In addition to its on-campus courses, UC also offers online bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs in a variety of fields including Health Care; Business Administration; Cybersecurity; Economic Crime; and Criminal Justice. All online courses are taught by highly experienced faculty members with renowned skills in their respective industries. In 2011, it's online school was ranked in the top 25 among all online universities.
Cost of tuition for undergraduate students is US$28,100 per year for fulltime students and US$950 per credit hour for part-time students. For graduate students, cost of tuition and fees vary according to the degree program selected. The same holds true for online graduate programs tuition cost which ranges from US$615 to US$950 per credit hour depending on the degree program chosen.
Financial aid is available in the form of loans, grants and scholarships.
