Westwood College is an institution of higher learning founded in 1953. Its parent organization is Alta College, Inc. and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado. It has about seventeen (17) campuses offering its various programs plus its online campus. It is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) or the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS).
Westwood College is comprised of six (6) schools namely the School of Technology, School of Design, School of Business, School of Justice, School of Healthcare, and the School of Industrial Services. Except for the last two mentioned schools, all the rest offer their respective online programs. The School of Technology offers programs in Game Software Development, Information Technology, IT: Major in Network Management, and IT: Major in Systems Security. Online programs offered by the School of Design include Animation, Game Art, Graphic Design and Multimedia, Interior Design, Visual Communications, and Web Design and Multimedia. The School of Business has online programs in Business Administration in several majors and the Master of Business Administration while the School of Justice offers programs in Criminal Justice and Paralegal.
Minimum admissions requirements include a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, documentation of prior education and proficiency in basic college level skills. Some programs may have additional requirements for admission. Qualified students can avail of offered financial aid options including grants and loans. Online tuition costs vary depending on the program. Design and Technology programs require a tuition investment of approximately $ 4,435.00 per term. Business programs charge tuition of $ 4,144.00 per term and a slightly higher rate of $ 4,558.00 per term for the MBA Program. Tuition for the Criminal Justice program costs $ 4,392.00 per term while Paralegal programs cost $ 3,972.00 per term.
