What's the Fastest Production Car in the World?

In July of 2010, the 1,200 horsepower, limited production Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport set the record for the fastest production automobile with an average top speed of 268 miles per hour.  The previous record had been held by the SSC Ultimate Aero sports car, which had averaged a top speed of 256.18 miles per hour in October of 2007.
